If I disagree with a rating what can I do?

If you disagree with the rating of a particular trial listed on PsycBITE™, you can email us at info@psycbite.com. Specify the author, title and source of the trial in question, along with your reason for why you think the trial has been incorrectly rated. If possible, be particular about the location/place in the article where specific information supporting your claim can be found (page number, column number, paragraph number, line number).

All disputed ratings will be assessed, however, we may not be able to reply individually to people disputing trial ratings.

What can I do if I find an indexing error?

We would be grateful if you could let us know of any errors that may be found in the indexing of a particular record (for example, the source may be incorrect, or the record may be categorised incorrectly). Email us at info@psycbite.com. Cut and paste the record from the "Detailed Search Results" into the email message, and describe the indexing error that has been made. While we are grateful for information about indexing errors, we will not be able to reply individually to people who notify us of indexing errors.

Why do I get only a few or zero trials as a result of some of my searches?

PsycBITE™ is in the early stages of development (launched on July 7th 2004), and therefore the number of trials from which to search is limited at this stage. This number will increase as we continue to identify trials that meet the PsycBITE™ selection criteria and upload them to the database. PsycBITE™ has more than 120,000 references yet to be subjected to the identification and rating processes and will be continually made available as they are identified and rated for their methodological quality.
